Everett Job Thayer

Everett Job Thayer, 92 of Clarksburg and also had a residence in Blueridge, GA passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at the VA Hospital. He was born in Prestonia, WV, Braxton County, on May 27, 1924, son of the late Job and Dove Dillon Thayer. He is survived by three children, Ruth Ellen Pemberton, Akron, OH, E.J. Thayer Jr. and wife Patricia, Fairmont, WV, and Neva Daniels, Maysville, GA; five grandchildren, Henry Pemberton, Julie Bane and husband Ryan, Jennifer Thayer, Kati Daniels, and Kyle Falany; great grandchildren, Aiden, Tyler, and LunaMae; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Catherine Dugan Thayer, second wife, Donna Mae Bayan Thayer on June 2, 2014; and twelve brothers and sisters. Everett was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII. He was a carpenter working for himself for many years. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 12 noon at the WV National Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor Count Post #12, Central WVA DAV Chapter 24, and their Auxiliaries, and the Navy National Guard.
