Pauline E. (McElroy) Ganoe

Pauline E. Ganoe, 81 of Clarksburg, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at her residence. She was born May 21, 1936 in Clarksburg; the daughter of the late Paul Young and Helen Jeanette (Lawrence) McElroy.

Pauline is survived four children, Glenna P. Christafore & her husband, Robert of Wheeling, Rhonda J. Talarico & her husband, David of Clarksburg,  James F. Ganoe & his companion, Kelli Shomo of Philippi, Glen F. Ganoe II of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, David Lopez, Nick Lopez, Jessica Talarico, Shawn Ganoe, Sage Knight, Josh Ganoe, and Rachel Powell; eight great grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Reagan, Amyah, Drayven, Kaylin, Axton, Ayden; one brother, Paul Y. McElroy II of TX; two sisters, Ella Jean Saffle of Bridgeport, and Verna Welch of Lumberport; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Fredrick Ganoe on January 17, 1984; two sisters, Nancy Virginia McElroy and Bernice Donoghue.

Pauline was a member of the Clarksburg Church of God and loved reading her bible. She taught Junior Class Sunday School for over thirty years, family training and was usherette. She enjoyed working in her yard and was a very giving person to her friends and neighbors.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life and light.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 2-8 pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Bishop Cecil Welch presiding. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
