Walter Baker Haase

Walter Baker Haase, age 92, of Hepzibah, WV passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1923 in Fort Colborne, Canada; the son of the late Herman Haase, Jr. and Florence May (Baker) Haase.

Walter is survived by his wife, Connie L. (Sendling) Haase of Hepzibah, WV; a son, Gary Haase & his wife, Lois of Akron, Ohio; a daughter, Michelle Grubbs & her husband, Bill of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Alyson and Ashley; three step-children, Cynthia Criss & her husband Darren of Bridgeport, WV, Timothy Sendling of Hepzibah, WV and Troy Ashley & his wife, Mash of Martinsburg, WV; nine step-grandchildren and a step great-grandson; two brothers, Herman Haase & his wife, Patricia of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Robert Haase & his wife, Barbara of Farmington, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Haase.
Walter retired from Consol Energy where he was a salesman, after his retirement he went back to work at Repair King in Shinnston, and also worked for Phil Southern.

No visitation will be held, a graveside service will be held at West Virginia National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 1:00pm with Rev. Richard Settles, presiding, where military rites will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and Camp Dawson Honor Guard
