Peggy Jean Fontaine

Peggy Jean Fontaine, of Clarksburg, WV, formerly of Bridgeport, succumbed to an extended illness of breast cancer, on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Untied Hospital Center.

She was born October 30, 1946, the daughter of the late Charles R. Fontaine and Bonnie Wiseman Casey. She is survived by one daughter, Dawn (Stevens) Osborn and husband Bruce, of Clarksburg, two sons, Gary R. Stevens, Jr., and wife Tammy, of Nutter Fort, and Michael T. Stevens and wife Roberta, of Salem, WV; 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, Amanda, Andy, Brittany, Chase, Christina, Tori; 11 great-grandchildren; one half-brother, Scott Fontaine, and one half-sister, Cynthia Fontaine.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Lynn Stevens, and one granddaughter, Stephanie.

Ms. Fontaine graduated from Bridgeport High School and WV business college. She retired from Residential Property Management in Alexandria, VA in 2010, returning to WV to be with her family. Prior to moving to Arlington/Alexandria, VA, she was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Stonewood, and was baptized in the Potomac River in 1992 of Christian Faith.

Ms. Fontaine requested cremation. The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98/Clarksburg, Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 4:00-5:00pm, where a service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home, with her cousin, Reverend Roger Fontaine, of Salem, presiding.
Private burial will take place with the family present.

In lieu of flowers Ms. Fontaine requested donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society and The Cecil B. Highland Cancer Center at UHC.
