To the Merritt's family: My deepest and sincere condolences. I am so sorry for the passing of Sister Nina Merritt. Jehovah is our refuge and strength a help that is to be found in time of distress. He will make you firm he will make you strong. In Paradise all of today's problem will not be called back to mind, neither will they come up into our heart. How comforting to know that life then will be eternal. The good news is that death will be no more. ( Isaiah 65:17) ( Job14:14-15 ) Wakefield Congregation

Aunt Nina, I hold the most loving memories of you and Uncle Cledith growing up as a child in Clarksburg! We all looked forward going to Grandma's house and then walking up the street to your house. You have always brought out the best in everybody and I can honestly say, you are the most loving and happiest person I have ever met. Please tell my Mom I love her and until we meet again....I love you,Debbie Guinn Moore

I was saddened to read that our dear sister, Nina, had passed. I remember so many of the true life experiences she shared with all that she knew. I will never forget her kind, soft spoken voice, her beautiful heart warming smile and most of all her never ending love for Jehovah.I am so thankful that I knew her.

I have such fond memories of Nina. She cared about everyone and was always there to support the new ones just starting to study the bible. We went to so many assemblies together and when I think of some of them it brings a smile to my face and my heart. She, along with a couple friends, went to stay in Phili with Mary Woods and her aunt and when we got there and the next day one friend did not have a ride Nina lay down in the hatch back of my car so the friend could go with us to and from the stadium and that was true Christian love. There are so many examples of her strong faith. I mentioned to her I was so sorry she was feeling so bad and she said " How can I accept the good from Jehovah and not endure and be still thankful for the rough times" What an attitude. We spoke often of her concern for the friends she loved so much and no doubt when she was feeling her worst she mustered herself up to come and show respect at the memorial for our dear Sister Karen Wyatt. I will always be thankful for the love she and Cledith showed to me and my daughter Cindy Jo . I want Cledith to know of the love she felt for you and her family. She will rest now until she stands up when Jehovah calls and she will answer. She loved Jehovah so much and the wonderful hope and gift of His dear son. She wanted all to read their bible so they could learn of the wonderful hope ahead. Our thoughts are with you all, Mary Ronnie and Cindy Jo Murphy

Message from Heather Hilliard - March 23, 2015 at 12:19 PM

My sincere sympathy goes out to the family of Nina Merritt. I didn't know her very closely myself, but I often remember my Mom ( Karen Wyatt) telling me what a special place she held in her heart. She said she was a spiritual pillar in the congregation for many years, and stood out as being the most loving person she had ever met. We look forward to the time when we will welcome Nina back healthy and happy on a beautiful earth the way Jehovah God intended it to be. Much Love, Heather Hilliard

Nina's family has my greatest sympathy. She was a very special woman. Nina was so kind to everyone she met. We all loved our dear sister very much. For me personally she was extra special. She was my rock in the early years when I first met her. I don't know what would have happened to me and my children if we hadn't had Nina in our lives. She gave us so much love and encouragement. I regret that I never told her how much she meant to me and how much I loved her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I hope we will see her when she is resurected so I can tell her how much she meant to me. May her family find comfort in knowing how much she was loved and will be missed by so many people and the hope of seeing her again in the near future.

I recently heard of dear NInas passing.. I felt like the wind was knocked out of me.. She studied the bible with me when i was only seventeen years old.. The deep love she had for Jehovah was evident in everything she did .. She treated me like a daughter and taught me so many life lessons so i wouldnt have to experience them the hard way.. She was a fine example of a christian wife and mother as well as well.. But most of all she was a lovely sister in the truth who loved jehovah god with her whole being... Love you dear Nina, Dorothy Dakon Rockhold
