My Mom always told the story about she and my Dad chaperoned a high school dance one time. Wayne was talking to a girl and this other guy was butting in. Finally Wayne looked at the guy and said, "go away boy you're bothering me." Mom couldn't tell that story without tears coming out of her eyes from laughing so hard.Wayne was always good to us kids when we went on trips with the NDHS band. Back in the 70s we did not have enough sense to say thank you for your service. Wayne was a part of Greatest Generation and I wish to thank him now.Gene Onestinghel
