Message from Josh Weaver - September 28, 2014 at 05:00 PM

My Grandma Darlene was one the most beautiful, kind hearted, loving women to ever walk this earth. Her recent passing has left a huge hole in mine and my families heart but I do find peace knowing that she is now reunited with my dad (her son), my sister (her granddaughter), and all the other family members we have lost that are now Angels in heaven. Grandma you may be gone from this earth but you will always be alive in my heart. We love and miss youJosh, Mandy, Justin, Jordyn, and Brittney

Message from Dwayne and Sandy Dawson - September 28, 2014 at 10:41 AM

Darlene was there for me from the day I was born and for Sandy and I from the day we were married in her home. She gifted us with love and compassion, care and nourishment, kindness and a bit of sassiness from time to time, awe and wonder, and much joy and laughter. She gifted us with good friends and a real pal through her first husband, Bill Weaver and the Weaver family. She gifted us with the kindest and most generous brother-in-law anyone could have through her perfect soulmate, Terry Koontz. Without doubt her greatest gift has been her four sons, Billy, Rod, Brad and Chad, and their amazing families. Darlene's gifts flow abundantly to all of us through all of them. Without end. Dwayne and Sandy Dawson

I will miss you, Aunt Darlene. I will miss your warmth, generosity, practicality, and humor. You supported so many people in your lifetime, and your legacy will live on through our memories.
Message from Deanna Dawson - September 27, 2014 at 01:12 PM

Aunt Darlene my heart is so sad to have to say goodbye. You always made sure to reach out and make sure we felt part of the family although we were far away, Christmas box every year till we were in our 20's and special dinners every time we came in, we always knew you were there for us! As long as I can remember you would make sure the Dawson family gathering had activities for the kids and was fun for all, from Karaoke to Luau's to Costume parties you made sure the kids would have fun. You opened your house and your heart to everyone who walked in the door, you and Terry always had guests staying, grandkids around and everyone wanting to be near to you because your love was so evident and your strength so comforting and because we knew you'd make us LAUGH! You inspired me and I love that I sometimes feel like the "Aunt Darlene" for all my 'adopted' kids, I often think of you. Our hearts ache and yet we know we were so blessed to have known you. I'm thinking of all of you in West Virginia and sending love.

Darlene was a very special lady. Our families were very close for many years. She will be missed very much. She and I were very close when we were kids and teenagers. We were first cousins and I loved her and her family. We were both in the Toy Orchestra at Anmoore Grade School. We went to the Roller Drome in Nutter Fort about every week. God Bless Darlene and her family as they go through a difficult time.

I've known Darlene for many yrs. This family is a strong, God loving family.Losing Mindy, her Grandma, her son Billy,, there are many more. Darlene was a happy person. I believe Darlene had a hole in her heart, but also believed in God. I just saw her 3 weeks ago when we were both getting our our hai r fixed same place. She was smiling, she looked beautiful. Josh & his wife, Mandy, have lost so many in a small short of time. She went onto to be with her family members, Another Angel. Love and Peace Willy & Sharon
