Just found out today about Chris's passing. To say I am shocked would be an understatement. I remember him fondly from high school. Chris was a true patriot and a very intelligent guy. My deepest condolences to the family. Chad Pigott

I was saddened to hear about Chris and have many fond memories from our time in Civil Air Patrol together. Brian summed up Chris' personality to a T and we will all remember Chris with a smile. So sorry for your loss. Maurine (Ensing) Goodwin

Chris was my son Bryan's best friend and he will be missed by all of us. He was a comfort to Bryan many times especially when my wife passed away. He treated me with upmost respect and we will never forget him. He was a very intelligent and caring person and pleasant to be around. I am truly sorry for your loss.Steve BjorkFlat Top, WV

I am very sorry to hear that Chris passed. Over the years, Chris and I lost touch; as life often does, it moves and pulls us in different directions, and to different places. I have a lot of great memories of, as Barry would say, the shenanigans of our youth:- Civil Air Patrol: summer encampments, weekly meetings and training, weekend SAR training and actual SAR operations, and flight time- Muzzleloading Rendezvous: bottle rocket wars, cross country hiking to watch movies at the Skyline from the treeline, shooting/plinking at the range and on the back side of the high wall- Weekend sleepovers: too many movies, too much pizza, water balloon wars, and Laser TagShenanigans aside, what I remember best about Chris is that he was a fiercely loyal friend with a big heart and a cheeky grin who would always try to help others. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies on your loss.Brian Watkins
