Yolanda Jean Baker, 73, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, at Clarksburg Health Care Center. She was born on December 27, 1952, in Greencastle, Indiana, the beloved daughter of the late Wallace and Lavona Baker.
Yolanda lived a life defined by quiet strength, dedication, and care for others. A proud graduate of the Class of 1973, she went on to serve her community through her work with the Doddridge County Board of Education, where she was known for her reliability and kind spirit.
She leaves behind cherished memories with her loving family, including her half-brothers, Layton Baker and his wife Elaine, and Paul Baker and his wife Katie, as well as several nieces and nephews who will remember her with affection.
In addition to her parents, Yolanda was reunited in passing with her brother, Sylvester Allen Baker.
In honoring Yolanda’s wishes, she will be cremated, with interment to take place at a later date at K of P Cemetery.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Yolanda’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
