William “Bill” Earl Zuna, 73, of Buckhannon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born on October 30, 1952, in Pennsylvania, the beloved son of the late Frank Zuna and Bessie Eshleman Zuna Fake.
Bill leaves behind his devoted wife of 13 wonderful years, Mary Wolverton Zuna, who was the love of his life and his constant companion. Their years together were filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Richard, James, John, and Walter Zuna, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, a reflection of his deep sense of duty and character. He was a man of remarkable skill and creativity, with a lifelong love for building and mechanical work. Bill could fix just about anything, but more importantly, he never hesitated to help anyone in need. His generosity, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Above all, Bill was a wonderful husband, a loyal friend, and a good man whose quiet strength and caring heart will be deeply missed. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared so freely.
Per Bills’ wishes he will be cremated. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
