William Alexander, III Obituary

William Carlisle Alexander, III, 80, of Weston, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Fairmont at Pierpont Center.  He was born on August 28, 1944 in Washington, DC, a son of the late William Carlisle Alexander, Jr, and Lucille Keown Alexander.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Zier Alexander who passed away in November 2015.

He is survived by two children, Christy Fitzgerald and husband Edward of Weston and William Alexander, IV and wife Cathy of Marbury, MD; three grandchildren, Caitlin Boyce and Edward Fitzgerald, Jr., and Michael Alexander; two great grandchildren, Tanner Wade Schoppert, Cheyanna Boyce; one brother, Ira Alexander.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Sherrie Alexander.

William was a graduate of High Point High School in Beltsville, MD.  He was employed as a Technician for office Equipment companies until his retirement.  He also served as a volunteer fireman with the Beltsville, Maryland Fire Department.  He was a quiet man by nature and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
