Wayne Carl Edgell

Wayne Carl Edgell, 80 of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born January 11, 1941 in Wallace, son of the late Troy Gordon Edgell and Ethel Madeline Lynch Edgell.

Wayne graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1959 and attended welding school.  He retired from Union Carbide as a crane operator for over twenty-nine years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique cars and engines. Wayne loved life, family and friends.   

Wayne is survived by his two sons, Gordon Ray Edgell and wife Kerry, Salem, David Wayne Edgell and wife Regina, Wallace; four grandchildren, Stephanie Forinash, Troy Edgell, Samantha Edgell and husband Adam Ashcraft, Eme Edgell; great grandchildren, Caden, Raelee, Bridon, Madalynn, Waylon, Amelia, and Porter; one sister, Norma Bise, Lost Creek; best friends, Becky Downs and husband Tom; Tiffany Frum and son Tommy;  several nieces and nephews;

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Alverta Edgell Pigott.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 3:00-7:00PM. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bobby Nuzum officiating.
