Walter "Walt" Daves Powell, Jr., 84, of Lost Creek, WV, formerly of Williamstown, NJ passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. He was born on January 21, 1936 in Newark, NJ; son of late Walter, Sr and Ethel Powell.
Walt proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1954-1957, where he was stationed in Germany. He worked for GE in Philadelphia, PA, and Atlantic Aviation in Wilmington, DE as an aviation mechanic. After his retirement, Walt enjoyed working part-time for the WV National Guard, maintaining their fleet.
In his spare time Walt enjoyed building and wood-working in his shop. He created many beautiful items his family treasures.
Walt is survived by his wife Barbara Powell, of the home, children Sherrie (Bob) Scott, Sacramento, CA, Barbara (Frank) Fuscellaro, Haddon Heights, NJ, Linda (Jim) Kraus, Port Charlotte, FL, Gary (Traci) Stroupe, Lost Creek, WV, Jeanne (Rich) Brooks, Washington, NC, fifteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Walt was pre-deceased by his parents, and brothers Jay Powell and David Powell.
