Virginia "Ginny" C Higbee

Virginia “Ginny” C. Higbee, 79, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 in Fairmont, WV.  She was born on February 4, 1946 in Hazleton, PA.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Stephen Higbee, Sr.

She is also survived by two daughters, Sharon Attenbrunn and husband David and Kristina Ditzel and husband Robert Ditzel, Sr,; stepchildren, Michele Hoffman, Sherri Clark and fiancée John Orlando, and Stephen Higbee, Jr,; grandchildren, Joseph Attenbrunn-Bay and husband CP Bay, Jeffrey Attenbrunn and fiancée Hadley Irvin, Robert Ditzel, Jeremy Ditzel and Lee Stabler, Michael Hoffman, Jr, David Hoffman, Cassidy Clark, Cameron Clark, Aaron Higbee and Brandon Higbee; four great granddaughters and one great grandson; and eight siblings.

She was preceded in death by one son, Leon Stabler.

Ginny grew up in an orphanage along with her siblings in Orwigsburg, PA and then moved to New Jersey in the 1960’s and then moved to WV in 2011.  She worked most of her life as a cashier in ShopRite Supermarket in NJ.  Ginny loved gardening, taking rides and animals of all kinds.  She also enjoyed playing bingo with her best friend, Kathy Chiappisi.
