Virginia Adams Obituary

Virginia Ruth Adams, 83, of Monongah, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born September 25, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward William and Mildred Moss LeVay—a spirited, caring woman whose warmth touched every life she encountered.

Virginia’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is lovingly survived by her three children: Paul Adams (Sharon) of Savannah, GA; Vincent Adams (Bobbie) of Albrightsville, PA; and Lori Taylor of Monongah, WV. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren—John Adams, Elizabeth Boaen (Anthony), Kodie Shipe (Dave), Robert Goldsmith (Bianca), and Ashley Abbott (Matthew)—and a cherished great-grandmother to nine: Tristin, Jackson, Lucy, Riley, Harper, Mason, Wyatt, Brynn, and Eli. She also leaves behind two siblings, Jim LeVay (Janet) of Okatie, SC and children, Brian and Linda and their families, and Mary Ellen Young (Mike) of Sharon Hill, PA, along with many extended family who adored her; her four legged companion, “Ruby Rose”

A graduate of Upper Darby High School in Philadelphia, Virginia worked as an operator for Aegis and later Teleperformance. Beyond her work, she embraced life with passion and humor. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, where her vibrant spirit and quick wit shone brightly.

Virginia’s heart was gentle and generous—especially toward animals. A devoted cat lover, she found comfort and companionship in each furry friend she welcomed into her home. She was gifted with creativity and patience, spending countless hours crocheting and crafting delicate dollies. In her quiet moments, she found peace in books and puzzles, small joys that filled her days with contentment.

Above all, Virginia will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, and the deep love she held for her family. Her presence was a steady source of comfort, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.

Fulfilling her wishes, Virginia will be cremated.
