Veronica “Vickie” Ann Aiello, 69 of Bridgeport passed away of Stage Four Cancer/Dementia on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Bridgeport Health Care Center. Vickie was born August 24, 1951, in Clarksburg, daughter of Isaac Francis Thomas Sr. of Clarksburg and the late Joann Bell George Thomas Smith and husband Larry Marvin Smith.

Vickie graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School and WV Junior College.  She was known for her amazing cooking and a huge heart for helping others. Vickie will be greatly missed by so many, especially her smile that could light up any room.

Vickie is survived by her three children who made up the entirety of her world, Tina McWilliams and husband Chuck, Clarksburg, Sunshine Jakubecz and husband Chief Warrant Officer III (Retired), Jason, Enterprise, AL, Army Sergeant Major, Joseph Aiello, and wife Teri, Fort Hood, TX; eleven grandchildren, Caressa Scarrett and husband Justin, Calista Currey and husband Petty Officer 2nd Class, Jonathan, Cory McWilliams, Hunter and Chase Perry, Devon and Kaylee Jakubecz, Sarah Abrams and husband Petty Officer 3rd Class, Johnathan, Joseph Jr., Trey, and Alyssa Aiello; eight great-grandchildren, Rocca, Sessa, and Navva Scarrett, Bray and Beau Currey, Weston Abrams, Gracynn and Skylar Conley; three brothers, two sisters, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Vickie has donated her body to WVU Human Gift Registry to help prevent or find a cure for Dementia. The family will hold a Celebration of Life in Vickie’s memory at a later date.
