Vernon “Boone” Lee Maxwell, 59 of Clarksburg passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at United Hospital Center. Boone was born June 18, 1961 in Newark, NJ, son of the late Eddie and Martha Lewis Maxwell.

Boone graduated from Central High School, Newark, NJ. He worked construction and as a security guard. He was a New York Giants Fan, enjoyed playing chess and watching movies.

He is survived by his wife, Willa Denise Garrett Maxwell; five children, Naydiyah Maxwell, Sa’d Maxwell both of Newark, NJ, Eddie Garrett, Erica Garrett and Nicole Garrett; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Libby, Darrin, Lawanda, Ricky and Maurice; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Hasan Miles; siblings, Eddie and Veronica.
