Velma Norman Obituary

Velma Louise Norman, 93 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at United Hospital Center. She was born on June 3, 1930, in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late Hershel And Elsie Avis Satterfield Wagner.

Velma graduated from Washington Irving High School. She worked for Anchor Hocking for several years and spent 20 years volunteering at United Hospital Center. She loved her dogs, birds, and knitting.

Velma is survived by one daughter, Michelle Gola of Clarksburg; three grandchildren Stephanie Gump, Amanda Haynes and Tiffany Gola, nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Velma is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Norman; one daughter, Marcia Geipe; one sister.

Per Velma’s request she will be cremated. Interment will take place at the West Virginia National Cemetery
