Twila Gay Smith

Twila Gay Smith, 86, of Hepzibah passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 in Salem. She was born on September 19, 1936 in Hepzibah, a daughter of the late James Orville Whaley and Hazel Maude Ancell Whaley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Garlan Smith who passed away on June 7, 2012.  Twila is survived by her three children, Pamela Torivio and her husband Patrick of New Mexico, Michael Smith and his wife Priscilla of Rock Hill, SC and Cindy Kordela and her husband Tom of Elkton, MD;  18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Harris and many nieces and nephews; two special friends Norma Shepherd and Heather Seibol. 

Twila was a sales clerk for many years working in different stores around the Sutton area including Kroger, Hecks and various restaurants. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg WV on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 P.M. with Reverend Denver Burnside officiating.  Interment will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton.  Online condolences can be made at www.DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.
