Tony Lucente Jr., 64, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Born July 22, 1960, in Clarksburg, Tony was the son of the late Tony “Tubby” Lucente and Sara Agatha “Gay” Newlon Lucente.
A proud 1978 graduate of Liberty High School, Tony owned and operated Tubby’s Café in Summit Park since 2002 and had served as a Harrison County School Bus Driver since 2014. He had a deep passion for antique cars—especially his beloved 1961 Ford Falcon “Sweet Pea”—and enjoyed boating, riding Harleys, roller coasters, and vacations to Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains. His extensive Diecast collection was a source of pride both at the café and at home. He attended both Horizons and Jewel City Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kathryn Ann Ours Lucente; five children: Vincent (Erica), Samantha (James Finley), Nicholas, Jonathan (SheBeck), and Aberielle Lucente; several grandchildren; and his brother, Frank Lucente (Cindy). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy “Timmy” Lucente, and sister, Deborah Lucente OShaughnessy.
Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon, officiated by Pastor Robert Shingleton and Pastor Quint Pitts.
