Thomas Joe “T-Bone” Fletcher, 78, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Hospital. He was born on November 3, 1947 in Elkins, a son of the late David Edwin Fletcher and Virginia Puffenbarger Fletcher.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, David Fletcher, Betty Fletcher Ruddle, Charles H. Fletcher and James L. Fletcher.
T-Bone was a graduate of Elkins High School, class of 1965 and attended classes at Fairmont State University. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Tom was very fond of his nieces and nephews and loved making them laugh, especially with his signature “bad jokes.” As he grew older, he developed a fascination with coins and often shared that interest by giving coins as thoughtful gifts. For many years, he adored his beloved dog, Cindy, a beagle he found in Elkins City Park, who became a constant companion. He was a private and intelligent man with a wonderful sense of humor that those close to him will always remember.
