Thelma "Jeannie" Carroll

Thelma “Jeannie” Carroll, 75, of Shinnston, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in Bridgeport at United Hospital Center.  She was born on August 21, 1949 in Clarksburg a daughter of the late, Dennis Zickefoose and Mary Ellen Moats.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Gerald Bowen; one son, George Bailey of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Amy Bailey and husband Shawn Hurst and Brittney Bailey; two great grandchildren, Kimmie Ellison and Ronnie Hurst; siblings, David Zickefoose and wife Beverly, Dennis Zickefoose and wife Debbie, John Zickefoose, Charlene Butts, Mary Ann Moats, and Billy Zickefoose and wife Tracy; nieces and nephews, Scotty Flynn, Mary Shears, William Shears, Sue Ellen Keller, Lee Zickefoose, Debra Bennett, Regina Downward and John Hall; and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Larry Zickefoose, Sue Cutright and Carrie Coffman.

Jeannie was a member of Grace Baptist Temple in Jane Lew and she lived to serve the Lord.  She enjoyed playing the organ and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 AM, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM with Reverend Roger Brown officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Mount Clare.
