Terry Kay (Shook) Watson Gowers

Terry Kay Watson Gowers, 68, of Clarksburg passed away suddenly on Friday, May 8, 2020 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born May 1, 1952 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Paul Shook Jr and Hattie Mae Short Shook.  

Terry retired from Criss-Cross with over twenty years of service where she worked for the Adult/Child Abuse Hotline.  She also worked in food service for many years. Her hobbies were baking, gardening, doing crafts and watching jeopardy. She loved spending time with her family.

Terry is survived by one son, Kencil Watson and Deidra Cox, Clarksburg, two stepsons, Alan and Patrick Gowers; grandchildren,  Kenisa Lopez and Celso, Clarksburg, Kasi Powlnell, Bridgeport, Keisha Cox, Clarksburg, Lawanna Cox, NC and ten additional great granddaughters; five great grandsons; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Paula Stout and Roger, Lorain, OH; one brother, Thomas Shook, Clarksburg; aunt and uncle, Janet and Bob Layfield, SC; three nieces, two nephews, many great and great great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul Shook Sr and Mildred Shook, Whitman Short and Rosalee Short; husband, Bobby Gowers.
