Terry Lee Rhodes

Terry Lee Rhodes, 53, of Clarksburg passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 after complications from a prolonged illness. He was born on December 29, 1966 in Hampton, VA, son of the late Carl Bud Lender and Dianne Marie Cockrell.

Terry was a true rebel, traveler, and wanderer. He enjoyed moving from place to place and meeting new people. Terry truly loved the outdoors and was an avid camper. He also liked to hike. In his later life, Terry developed a love for horses and found them soothing and therapeutic.

Terry is survived by a special friend, Jan Foley, Clarksburg; one brother and sister-in law, David and Christine Rhodes, Falling Waters, WV; one sister, Alethea “Christy” Christine Rhodes Zehr and significant other Lauren Swain, Martinsburg; one nephew, Chauncey Rhodes; and two nieces, Megan Zehr and fiance' Grant Moore, Leesburg, VA, Samantha Zehr, Martinsburg; and step mother, Susan Rhodes.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his special stepfather, John Rhodes- whom raised him and was more like his actual father.
