Terry Joe Cox

Terry Joe Cox, 68 of St. Marys passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at his residence with family by his side. He was born May 14, 1957, in Cambridge, OH, son of  Mable Lucile Longfellow Cox, St Marys and the late Harold Edward “Joe” Cox. He graduated from St. Marys High School with the Class of 1975. Terry worked as an over-the-road truck driver for forty-three years, retiring from Slay Transportation. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family. In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Pamela “Pam” Sue Holpp Cox whom he married on April 22, 1977; two children, Erica Dawn Smith and husband Jason, Robert Edward Cox and wife Liz, all of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Bills and husband Wesley, Jeremy Smith, Isiah Cox, Fayth Sunderman, Autumn Mossor, Jayla Cox, and Khloe Cox; four great grandchildren, Hunter, Gracelynn, Tapanga, and Carlee; one brother, Scott Cox, St. Marys; three sisters, Cindy Danielson and husband Jody, Belmont; Loraine Strahler, Churchtown, OH; and Bip “Sandra” Chutes and husband William, Coolville, OH; mother-in-law, Lois M Hinzman Holpp, St. Marys; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Deanna Dennis and husband Lee, Waverly, Lisa Taylor and husband David, St. Marys, Sharon Estep and  husband, Phillip, Pullman, and Dennis Farr, Mobile, AL; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by one brother, Dwayne Robinson and one sister, Annette Farr; and father-in-law, Dean Holpp. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Maple Lane Cemetery, Pleasants County with Dave Williamson officiating.
