Susannah M. (Davis) Johnson

Susannah M. Johnson, 88 of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at her residence with family by her side.  She was born May 9, 1932 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Joseph Davis and Vergie Snider Davis Cavanaugh. Susannah attended Roosevelt Wilson High School. She was Baptist by faith.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved spending time with her family.  Susannah was the last surviving of her immediate family. Susannah is survived by one son, Roger Johnson and wife Laverne, Kitts Hill, OH; two daughters, Margaret Hurst and husband Jesse, Bridgeport, Rebecca Stires and husband Jeffrey, Clarksburg; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Stires II and Veronica, Julie Stires, Roger Johnson Jr and Wendy, Cheri Pennington, Sundae Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Tressie Mazzie and Frank; sixteen great grandchildren, Destiny and Andy, Cameron, Brandon, A.J. Madison, Andy, Casey and T.J., Kassie, George, Bayleigh, Matti, Robbie, Jessica, Lexie, Keilani and Anthony; and three great great grandchildren, Claire, Tony and Carter; and several nieces and nephews; a very special niece, Katy Stalder who helped with her care. In addition to her parents, Susannah was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Lloyd Johnson Jr; one sister, seven brothers, and one great grandson Jacob. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 3–7:00 PM with proper distancing and face mask required. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Bryant Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
