Sue Ella Lipps, 79, of Clarksburg, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 in Bridgeport. She was born on October 14, 1946 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Arnold McKown and Meryl Merryman McKown.
Sue is survived by her longtime companion Eddie Jenkins.
She is also survived by her daughter Kelly Dilorenzo and husband Michael of Clarksburg and Steven Lipps and wife Deborah of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Justin Lipps, Kayla Lipps Greer, Kara Lipps, Megan Dilorenzo Ashcraft and Steven May; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, William McKown.
Sue was a graduate of R.W. High School, Class of 1964. She was employed as a laboratory technician at United Hospital Center until her retirement, a role she carried out with dedication and care throughout her career.
Sue had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping and spending time in nature. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan who always enjoyed following and cheering on her favorite teams.
Known for her happy spirit and good-natured personality, Sue had a way of bringing warmth and kindness to those around her. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother who took great pride in her family.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to all the staff at Maplewood Healthcare for their excellent care of Sue.
