Steven (Steve) Godfrey Smith, 66, of Rosemont, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1959 in Elkins, WV, a son of the late Harold Godfrey Smith and Virginia Ellen Bishop Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Trader Smith, whom he married on June 5, 1981.
He is also survived by two daughters Alyssa (Robert) Buffey and Tara (Bob Sinsel) Smith; grandchildren Marissa and Landon Smith; brothers Jerry (Diane) Smith and Stanley (Linda) Smith; sister, Virginia (Fred) Bryan; sister-in-law, Teena Haddix; and brother-in-law Paul Trader.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings Bradley Newlin and his wife Judy, Harold Smith Jr., and Karen Propst; and one grandson Christopher Michael Burton.
He worked at Amtower Auto Supply NAPA for 45 years and was known for his dedication, humor, and love for family. He volunteered his time at the Flemington volunteer Fire Department for many years as well as the Flemington IOOF. Steve enjoyed John Deere collectibles and watching tractor videos, but his greatest joy was time spent with loved ones.
