Steven "Steve" James Frazier

Steven “Steve” James Frazier, 62 of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was born on May 18, 1958 in Clarksburg, the son of the late James William and Frances Jean Longenette Frazier.

Steve owned and operated Frazier’s Excavating for over twenty years and enjoyed playing in the dirt. First and foremost, he lived his life serving his God and was a member at the Upper Room Church. He enjoyed racing cars, long jeep rides and loved spending time with his family.

Steve is survived by wife of forty-four years, Loverna “Ruth” Scheuvront Frazier whom he married January 29, 1977; two children, Shawna Dawn Davis and Philip, Jason James Frazier and Ashley all of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Marissa, Hannah, Andrew, Ethan; siblings, Angie Stehr and Chuck, Good Hope; Marlin Ray Frazier, Stonewood; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Darlene Kent, one sister in infancy, Rita Sue Frazier; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilbert James and Virginia Betty Ann Putnam Scheuvront.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 6:00PM. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Flanary officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
