Shirley Ann Barrick Cole

Shirley Ann Barrick Cole, 71, of Clarksburg passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the United Hospital Center. She was born in Clarksburg, WV on October 22, 1949, daughter of the late James Lee and Anita Joan Barrett Barrick.

Shirley graduated from Washington Irving class of 1968 and was a customer service representative for AAA. Shirley was a member of the Clarksburg Baptist Church for several years. Shirley enjoyed being the chauffer for many people.

Shirley is survived by her husband of fifty years, James “Jim” Keith Cole; three daughters, Lisa, Ashley and Kelly Cole, all of Clarksburg; two brothers, Roger Barrick and wife Sandy of Hilton Head, SC and Edward Barrick and Companion Robert “Bob” Knight of Salem, WV; one sister, Sue Deem of Clarksburg, WV; brother in law, Richard Cole and wife Jeanie of Bridgeport, WV; six grandchildren, Kaitlin Cole Griffith and William , Madison Casto, Kansas and Emma Nicolson, Dylan and Haley Harrouff all of Clarksburg, WV; two nephews, Thomas Jefferson Deem of Clarksburg and Brian Cole of Bridgeport.

In addition to her parents Shirley is preceded in death by one brother in law, Jeffrey Deem; one nephew, Chad Cole.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 2:00-7:00PM. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 10:30AM with Pastor David Hulme officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
