Scott Curtis Thacker

Scott Thacker was born on April 15, 1958 in Bremerton, Washington. He passed on September 3, 2020 at the Clarksburg VA Medical Center of complications from liver cancer, which he had been battling for the last three years. His last employment was at the Home Depot, a job he enjoyed very much.

Scott was preceded in death by his sister Kelly, his parents, and his wife Patricia.

He leaves behind two brothers, a sister, his daughter Terry with daughters Bethany and Shelby and his great-granddaughter Emma, and his son Billy with six grandsons, and two great-grand children.

He found love again with Christl Taylor, his soulmate, also widowed, only to have to leave her side much too soon. Her daughter Nora loved him dearly also, as did her granddaughter, who came to him for help and advice.

He was Lutheran by faith, a kind and loving man who loved the outdoors, who w as proud of his garden, and who loved cats and dogs.In lieu of flowers we are asking that you make a donation to cancer research or your favorite animal charity.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 2:30 PM at WV National Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Army Honor Guard.
