It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Sorensen, age 60, on November 14, with his family at his side. He is survived by Maggie, his wife of 35 years, and children Elizabeth, Alexander, Caleb, and Madeline Sorensen (Clarksburg, WV); his brother and sister-in-law, Kirk and Stephanie Sorensen (Eleva, WI); his parents, Lee and Phyllis Sorensen (Glenwood, MN); and many great friends, near and far. Scott was a proud veteran of the US Navy, and a man of many worldly adventures and a well-worn passport. To know Scott was to know the love he had for his family and friends, amazing travel destinations, his camera, weird food and a good power nap. Scott was a published photographer who loved to capture and share his unique adventures. He enjoyed playing disc golf with his kids and friends, and could always be counted on for a strange recipe or good book recommendation. He was a great friend to many, in every country he visited. He will be deeply missed, but his memories will live forever with his family and friends, and in his many stories and photos with the people and places he cared deeply about.

A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held on December 15, at 2:00 pm, at the Courtyard by Marriott, Bridgeport Clarksburg. Room blocks have been reserved for those traveling from out of town. Contact them at (304) 842-0444.
