Salvatore "Sam" Joseph Lacaria

Salvatore “Sam” Joseph Lacaria, 94, of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at United Hospital Center.

Sam was born December 15, 1926 in Clarksburg, the son of the late James L. and Clara Caputo Lacaria.  

He was a local business man that worked until the end. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Sam is survived by his children, Joann Barger and Jeff, Bridgeport, James “Jimmy” Lacaria and Maureen, Bridgeport, Donna Wilson and Jimmy, Nashville, TN, Sam J Lacaria Jr. and Tammy, Bridgeport, Christopher “Chris” Lacaria, Kingsland, GA, Mary Ann Cincinnati, Martinsburg, WV; seventeen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, John Lacaria, Suttons Bay, MI; several nieces and nephews.   

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his wife Mary Scarcelli Lacaria on August 8, 1982; four sisters, Antoinette Fiorenza, Rose Bonem, Mary Burnett, Virginia Mercure; five brothers, Felix, Frank, George, Louie and Albert Lacaria.
