Linger and Reta Peterson Linger.  She spent her early childhood years in Weston, WV, moving to Glen Falls, just outside of Clarksburg when she was 5.

She is survived by her son, John C. Snyder II (Mandy) of Grafton; grandchildren, John C. Snyder III (Brittany) of Fairmont and great-grandchildren Joseph Cameron Snyder of Harrisburg PA, Jaxon Miller of Fairmont, Karli Daigle (John) of Olathe KS and great-grandchildren Jordyn Daigle, Charlotte Daigle of Olathe KS, Justin Jones (Chatel) of Parsons WV, great-grandchildren Shilah Jones, Joel Jones, Jayce Jones of Parsons WV; her daughter, Susan Jones of Shinnston; grandchildren, Adam Jones of Shinnston, Erin Hall (Keegan) of Ohio, great-grandchildren Henry Hall, Lucille Hall of Ohio; son, Wayne D. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by grandson Darren Snyder, brother Argyle W. “Bud” Linger, sister Vera Sue Worley, father of her children, John C. Snyder, and long-time companion Robert Ashcraft.

Ruth was a 1956 graduate of Victory High School.  She was a hardworking woman who devoted her life to her family, faith, and career. She proudly operated a successful business, Snyder Specialties, for over 30 years, providing ad specialty products to countless loyal customers.  She loved the Lord and was a dedicated member of Duff Street United Methodist Church, always eager to attend church events and participate in fellowship. Over the years, she was active in several Christian women’s groups and also enjoyed being a member of the CEOS homemakers. She had a passion for travel and loved seeing new places.  One of her favorite experiences was watching the snow fall while visiting Canaan Valley. She delighted in sharing good meals with others and was especially known for her famous macaroni and cheese.  Family meant everything to her. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially during the Christmas season.  She was quick-witted, outspoken, and full of personality, never shy to share her opinion and never met a stranger. Her warmth, humor, and honesty will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
