Russell Edward Plaugher

Russell “Rusty” Plaugher, 57, of Clarksburg, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home in Clarksburg.  He was born on February 16, 1968 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Harry Carl Plaugher and Katherine Viola Titchnell Plaugher.

Rusty is survived by his companion Connie, and her children who were like his own.

He is also survived by one sister Belinda Southern-Miles and husband Mike and one daughter, and one son; and many nieces and nephews and a favorite Aunt Helen Critchfield and many cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Michael Carl Plaugher, Randy Blaine Plaugher, Denver Bryan Plaugher, Patrick Linc Plaugher, four sisters, Katheryn Ann Suter, Joyce Ellen Lowther, Harriet Pauline Tichenor and Wyona Blanche Ash, as well as three brothers-in-law, Rick Southern, Raymond (R.J.) Ash and Larry Tichenor. 

Rusty was a painter and held many jobs in the area.  He will be missed by his family and friends and his beloved dogs.
