Russ Alan Erpenbeck, 62 of Clarksburg, passed away on August 29, 2018 at Louis A Johnson Medical Center with family by his side. He was born April 4, 1956 in New London, CT, son of the late Richard Allen and Joan Clair Waddington Erpenbeck. Russ worked in Connecticut, deep sea fishing and lobster hunting. He last worked at the American Legion Post 13. He was a United States Navy Veteran navigating the submarines on USS Lipscomb. His hobbies were playing pool, crafts and cooking. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Clarksburg VFW Post 573 and American Legion Post 13. He is survived by his wife Tammy Kay Henderson Erpenbeck whom he married April 19, 2008; three step children, Chester “Chett” Paul Robinson and companion, Heather, Summit Park, Charles Wayne Robinson and wife Emily, Fairmont, Jennifer Werner and companion Travis Johnson, Lost Creek; one step grandson, Brayden Robinson and his mother Kelly Scyoc, Lumberport; one sister, Robin Abbott and husband Michael, New London, CT; sister-in-law, Lori Erpenbeck, Oakdale, CT; aunts, Ursula Rando, East Line, CT, Patricia Waddington, Niantic, CT; uncles, Peter Waddington, Charleston, SC, and Robert Waddington, Costa Rica; special cousin, David Waddington, Waterford, CT; father-in-law, John Henderson, Shinnston; brother-in-law, Sam Henderson, Shinnston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Pam Revels Sr; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; close friends, Jimmy Demarco and Brent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Alan Erpenbeck; mother-in-law, Frances Hayhurst Henderson. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 2-7pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:30 am with Pastor Steve Felder of Horizons Church in Lost Creek presiding. Interment will follow at WV National Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and US Navy Honor Guard.
