Roger “Butch” Lee Connolly, Sr., 71, of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at United Hospital Center. He was born January 9, 1950 in Clarksburg, son of the late Burlen Ozias and Della Katherine Moore Connolly.
Roger worked at Quality Machine as a track press operator for over thirty years. He collected coins, taking his dog Bella around town and buying lottery tickets. He loved spending time with family and never met a stranger.
Roger is survived by two children, Ann Marie Claypool and husband James Richard Lee Claypool, Stonewood, Timothy Paul Connolly, Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, Rachael Marsh and husband Wesley, Jaymz Claypool, Stephanie Nicole Claypool and fiancé Aaron Strader, Roger Lee Connolly-Powell, Hunter Lee Connolly, Ian Knight and Nora Scotchie; five great grandchildren, Amber, Addysin, Brantley, Bradlee and Braylon; one brother, Gary R Connolly and Debra, West Milford; one sister, Paulette Ferrell and Terry, Shinnston; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife Antoinette “Ann” Mary Connolly on May 16, 2020; one son, Roger “Butchie” Lee Connolly Jr in 2011; three brothers, Burlen Henry Connolly, , Bill Connolly, Dallas Connolly; three sisters, Betty Shepherd, Deloris Robbins, Janet Dawson.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 12:00 Noon-6:00PM. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Baron Claypool officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
