Robert "Bob" Allen Wilfong

Robert "Bob" Allen Wilfong, 76 of Clarksburg, West Virginia pass on November 4, 2023 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Crystal Springs in Elkins, West Virginia. He was born November 18, 1946 in Marlington, WV the son of the late Hunter Allen Wilfong and Erma Nell Defibaugh Wilfong Fitzgerald Simmons.

Bob served his country in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War and earning several medals. He also worked for the Baltimore County Sheriffs Department, Visiting Angels in WV and lastly at the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center. He enjoyed gardening and was catholic by faith. 

He is survived by his companion of twelve years, Delores Maxine Walls; siblings, Dreama Skaggs, Baltimore, MD, Tiffany Starr, Marlinton, Sue Wegner, Salt Lake City, Utah, Mike Fitzgerald, Howard Fitzgerald both of Marlinton, and Jerry Lee Fitzgerald, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by siblings, Earnest Wilfong, Berlin Stanley Fitzgerald, and John Ray Fitzgerald and Barbara Cash.

Graveside Service will be held on November 9, 2023 at WV National Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard at Camp Dawson.
