Robert Franklin Jackson, 74, of Clarksburg passed away on October 5, 2020 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born on September 3, 1946 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Carl Wilbur and Mary Louise Murphy Jackson.
Robert was an avid WVU fan. He enjoyed football, fishing, drawing, woodwork, antiques, coin collecting. He also loved to hunt for good deals. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the Army.
Robert is survived by his soulmate, Judith Chipps; Children, Tammy Ash, Tennessee, Valerie Rathbun, Clarksburg, Robert “Bobby” Jackson and Melodie Manganello, both of Clarksburg, and Beverly and Todd Thompson of Bridgeport; grandchildren Megan Loy, Corey McDonald, Kelsy Ashcraft, Kristin Helms, TJ Thompson, Tony and Michael Manganello; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Linda Furner and Jeanne Jackson.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one son Kenneth Peeples and brothers, Carl Jackson, Jr., Steve Jackson, Roy Jackson.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Thursday October 8, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM where Military Honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the Army Honor Guard with proper distancing and face mask preferred.
