Richard Woodson Obituary

Richard Wayne Woodson, 58, of Clarksburg passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1963 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Carl George and Loretta June Bowen Woodson.

Richard was a 1983 graduate of Liberty High School. He worked at Kroger for over thirty-five years. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He would see them as often as could and they will hold on to those fond memories of their time with their “Poppy”.

Richard is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Tamra Jo Winters Woodson; two daughters, Hannah Woodson and April, Clarksburg and Chelsy Plauger; one sister, Rhonda Bruffy and Junior, West Union; many, many grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301, is handling the cremation arrangements for Mr. Richard Woodson.
