Richard Allen Straitt,Sr., 74 of Berkeley Springs, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the WV Veterans Nursing Home. He was born March 12, 1946 in Newburgh, NY, son of the late Robert and Josephine Elizabeth Faurot Straitt.

Richard graduated from Newburgh Academy. He served his country in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Washington DC Metro Police Department. He enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Richard is survived by two children, Richard A Straitt Jr and wife Karen, White Hall, MD, Christopher Straitt, Berkeley Springs, WV; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Chloe, Olivia and Claymore.
