Richard Ray Skidmore

Richard Ray Skidmore, 68, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at his home.  He was born on June 23, 1956 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Denzil Skidmore and Alice Marie Hennings Skidmore.

He is survived by two children, Crystal Chandler and James Skidmore, both of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Anisa Gibson, Danielle Chandler, Kelli Harvey, Brayden Skidmore, Gavin Skidmore, Mylah Skidmore and Kyson Skidmore; great grandchildren, Jaxon Gibson, Rilyn Gibson, Myla Harvey, and Clayton Poling; great great grandchildren, Paisley Skidmore and Kingston Skidmore; one sister, Connie Bocco and one brother, Denzil Skidmore, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Philip Skidmore.

Richard worked in construction as a carpenter and dry waller.  He enjoyed spending time in his garage and talking to people.  He also enjoyed fishing and working in his flower garden taking care of his roses.
