Richard Peters Obituary

Richard Lee Peters, 75 of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at United Hospital Center. He was born October 9, 1947 in Weston, son of the late Floyd Francis and Loreeta Marie Self Peters.

Richard graduated from Lewis County High School. He previously worked as a construction Forman with Black Rock Construction Company. He was a talented musician and played guitar in The Minute Men Band. Richard enjoyed socializing with his friends and playing golf.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Allan Peters and wife Katina, Jane Lew, Adam Bryan Peters, Clarksburg; one granddaughter, Meghan Peters; three siblings, John Peters and Debbie, Craigsville, Mike Peters and Roberta, Ellis, Sharon Ratcliff and Donnie Copley; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Sue Sprouse Peters on May 29, 2018; five siblings, Lynn Peters, Carl Peters, Mary Hardbarger, Ronald Peters and Nina Pyles.
