Reggie Lee Rogers, 70, of Mount Clare, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 13, 2025. He was born on March 29, 1955 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Richard Lee and Martha May Hayhurst Rogers.
Reggie is survived by his nephew, Travis Shade and wife Tracy Karr of Gardendale, AL; several friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Lou Workman
He was a 1973 graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School. He owned and operated RLR Trucking, where he delivered coal.
Reggie was a man who lived life to the fullest and on his own terms. An avid outdoorsman, he found his greatest joy in hunting and trout fishing, often spending time on the water with his father. He spent time and was very supportive of CCC Camp Remembrance in Quiet Dell. President Reggie Rogers, who only lives a few miles from the museum, is a lifetime member of the museum association. He’s been with the association at least five years and has met people from around the world at the former Quiet Dell schoolhouse, including from France, the state of Alaska and across West Virginia.
Reggie was a great guy always genuine, kindhearted, and never afraid to live in the moment. He embraced his life as an unabashed bachelor, yet cared deeply for the people around him. Always willing to lend a hand, he was the kind of person who would help anyone in need.
He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his generosity of spirit, and the way he touched the lives of.
Private interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Reggie’s memory to CCC Camp Remembrance, 43 Quiet Dell School Road Mt Clare 26408.
