Rebecca "Becky" Ellen (Purnell) Myers

Rebecca “Becky” Ellen Myers, 67 of Good Hope passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 at her residence with family by her side.  She was born October 11, 1952 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Wilbur Ray Purnell and Alice Rebecca Cunningham Purnell. Becky graduated from South Harrison High School, Class of 1970. She worked at United Hospital Center for over twenty seven years and started as a respiratory therapist and retired as the supervisor of the sleep lab. She enjoyed camping, shopping, traveling and all South Harrison Sports.  Becky loved spending time with her family.  She is survived by her husband, Larry Wayne Myers whom she married in 1970; one son, Brian Wayne Myers, Good Hope; two grandchildren, Johnathan Slattman and Becca Myers; one sister, Sandra Maul, West Milford; half-sister, Donna Sandy and George, Mt Clare; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Myers, Clarksburg, Linda Purnell, Atlanta, GA, Charmaine Purnell, Barberton, OH, Cindy Purnell, Clarksburg; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Jett; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Becky is preceded in death by four brothers, Russell Purnell, Thomas “Tom” Purnell, and James Purnell; half-brother, Ray Purnell; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Warren “Jeep” and Beulah Bunch Myers; sister-in-law, Linda J Jett; nephew, Rob Myers. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 10:00AM until time of the Funeral Service at 2:00PM with Pastor Brad Cottrill officiating with proper distancing and face mask required.
