Randy Swiger Obituary

Randy Keith Swiger, 68, of Salem, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at his home in Salem.  He was born on March 8, 1957 in Salem, a son of the late Floyd Swiger and Mabel Pierce Swiger.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kimberly Smith Swiger, whom he married on July 12, 1988.

He is also survived by two children, Jessica Mae Jeffries and husband Marc of Eastview and Andrea Carbaugh and husband Jeffrey of Salem; grandchildren, Levi Jeffries, Karaline Jeffries, Traigh Ash-Rice, James Ash-Rice, Adalynn Swiger, Malachi Burgess and Emmileah Carbaugh; siblings, Larry Swiger of Lumberport and Lisa Swiger of Clarksburg.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Dickie Swiger and Jerry Swiger.

Randy attended Liberty High School and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. He carried the values of the Marines with him throughout his life, remaining fearless, strong, and deeply committed to those he loved.

Randy worked as a skilled glass blower and carpenter, and also spent time working as a contracted Big Rig driver. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to master hands-on trades.

In his free time, Randy enjoyed playing games on his PlayStation, listening to music, and watching Stories of the ER and OR on television. He especially treasured time spent with his family and had a deep love for his grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

Though independent by nature, Randy never missed an opportunity to talk with someone about his past experiences in life. He was friendly, approachable, and always ready to share a conversation or a laugh with those around him.

In honoring Randy’s wishes, he will be cremated. Donations may be made to his CareFund on his memorial page. Family and friends who wish to celebrate his life and legacy are invited to share condolences and memories online at www.davisfuneralhomewv.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to serve the Swiger family.
