Randal "Randy" Miller Obituary

Randal “Randy” Robert Miller, 70 of Lost Creek, WV passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1950 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Robert Ray and Esther Pauline Starcher Miller. Randy graduated from South Harrison High School. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam and received three purple hearts, national defense medal, Vietnam service medal, expert badge for riffle M-16 and first class grenade. Randy retired from Clarksburg Casket with over thirty years of service doing many positions. He also worked as a handyman, drove shuttle bus for military recruits and also worked at Water Smith Park. His hobbies were collecting guns, loading shells, making his own knives, woodworking, hunting, fishing, playing Yahtzee and was a gun enthusiast. Randy loved spending time with his family. Randy is survived by three children, Christina Lynn Frederickson and Lee, Lost Creek, Jamie Marie Miller and Michael Joseph Hyde II, Lost Creek, Heather Nicole Miller and Brian Edward Sandy, Bridgeport and the daughters mother, Peggy Jo Stout and Gary James, Lumberport; six grandchildren, Dylan Wayne Lowe, Jasmine Jo Ann Lowe, Michael “Trey” Joseph Hyde III, Laytin Warren Sandy, Matthew Robert Hyde and Lucas Ryan Sandy; his companion, Charlotte Greynolds and her three sons and grandchildren, Brian Keith Greynolds and Jenica and sons, Mason Elliott and Jacob Wilson Greynolds, Steven Shane Myers and Alisha, Salem, John Raymond Myers, II, Lost Creek; one brother, Jerry Donald Miller, Lost Creek; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr./Rt. 98, Clarksburg on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 2-7 PM with proper distancing and face mask required.  Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 12:30pm with Rev George Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery with full military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County VFW and the WV Army Honor Guard.
