Phillip "Pete" M. Sutter

Phillip M. “Pete” Sutter, 69 of Maple Lake community, Bridgeport, passed away after a brief illness, on Friday April 2, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 25, 1951 in Clarksburg, son of the late C. Wilson and Joanne Kelly Sutter. Pete is survived by his daughter, Anne (Annie) Sutter of Pittsburgh, PA and her mother, Patricia Dennison of Clarksburg; brothers, Stephen Sutter and Melinda, Sarasota, FL and David Sutter, Clarksburg; sister, Jane Kelly Gutierrez, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Roxy. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ann Hopkins and Kathryn Hamrick, and his nephew, Chris Moses. Pete was known for having a quick, spontaneous wit.  He took pride in his vegetable and herb garden and was an excellent cook.  He enjoyed watching classic TV and movies. Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Sutter family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
