Philip Lee Skidmore, 37, of Clarksburg passed away on Friday May 8, 2020. He was born April 27, 1983 in Clarksburg, son of Norma June Claypool and Richard Ray Skidmore and wife Yvonne Lynn Skidmore.
Philip’s hobbies were hunting mushrooms and ramps, deer hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents and stepmom, Philip is survived by one sister, Crystal Dawn Chandler, Clarksburg, one brother, James Richard Skidmore, Clarksburg, six nieces and nephews, Anisa, Danielle, Kelli, Mylah, Brayden, and Gavin; one great nephew, Jaxon, two great nieces, Rilynn and Myla; maternal grandfather, Robert W Claypool; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Philip is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Hattie Mae Claypool; paternal grandparents, Denzil Ray and Alice Marie Skidmore, brother-in-law, Walter “Chico” Chandler II and Norma’s companion, Christopher “Chris” Richard Lane.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 14, 2020 for friends and family from 11:00AM-1:00PM and 2:00PM- 4:00PM at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Dr Clarksburg, WV 26301. A service for family will be held following. Private interment will be at Stonewall Park Cemetery in Stonewood on Friday May 15, 2020.
