Peggy Miller Obituary

Peggy Lynn Miller, 78, of Clarksburg, passed away on March 2, 2026 in Bridgeport.  She was born on July 17, 1947 in New Martinsville, WV a daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Rush and Wilda Moore Rush.

She is survived by two sons, Marvin “Jon” Miller, with whom she made her home and David Miller and wife Kim of Salem; one granddaughter, Miranda Miller; siblings, Eva Peterson of Grafton, Bo “Carter” Rush of Mount Clare, and Tom Rush of Wileyville; and one nephew, Nelson Peterson of Chrisney, IN, Heather Helms of Tunnelton, WV and Jaimie Marks of Henderson, KY; great nieces and nephews, Bethany Wilcox of Grafton, Calista Brooks of Greenville, KY, Zackary Peterson of Chrisney, IN,  and Allie Marks of Henderson, KY; and one great great nephew, Noah Brooks; one special aunt, Wilma Henderson; and her four-legged fur baby’s.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Lane Rush; one brother-in-law, Bernard Peterson; one great great nephew, Levi Brooks.

Peggy was a proud graduate of Hundred High School. She went on to dedicate more than 30 years of faithful service to United Hospital Center, where she worked in several departments over the years, including housekeeping, the cafeteria, and as a courier. No matter the role, Peggy carried out her work with dedication, pride, and a strong work ethic, forming lasting friendships with coworkers and touching the lives of many along the way.

Peggy had a deep love for the outdoors and felt most at home surrounded by nature. She cherished time spent camping under the stars, casting a line while fishing, and making memories with family and friends on outdoor adventures. She also enjoyed bowling and playing softball, embracing both the fun and camaraderie that came with being part of a team.

Those who knew Peggy will remember her as straightforward and honest, someone who spoke her mind with sincerity and heart. Beneath that direct nature was a woman who was incredibly sweet, loving, and kind. Her bubbly personality and infectious spirit could brighten any room, and her laughter was a gift to everyone around her. Peggy’s warmth, strength, and joyful presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who loved her.

Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Route 98, Clarksburg, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM with Reverend Darrell Henderson presiding.  Online condolences may be shared at www.davisfuneralhomewv.com
